Keeping your house
clean is very important for your family’s health. You may often clean the
floors or carpets inside your house, but you must leave the oven cleaning out
when you do household care. In fact, oven should be given a regular cleaning as
it serves for cooking food directly. Choose an oven cleaner and it can be an effective helper in oven cleaning.
The oven must be
very dirty if not clean for a long time. Oven cleaning
is an easy job if you have some instructions to follow. The difficult thing is
to clean your oven naturally as it is mentioned above—oven is related to food. Before
cleaning the oven, you have to first of all make sure what type of oven you
have. There are a few standard types of ovens, and they each require slightly
different cleaning methods.
Different kinds of
ovens have different ways to clean, below are two different ovens. As for the self-cleaning
oven, you should take the correct ways:
1. Choose a time
to clean the oven when your kitchen area is at its least active. Remember to
keep children away from the kitchen while the oven is cleaning, since it heats
to a very high temperature and tends to give off a burning smell.
2. Then you should
remove the oven racks. Place them in a sink full of warm water mixed with a few
drops of dish-washing liquid to soak. Turn on the oven's self-cleaning mode.
Make sure the oven door is locked before leaving the oven to clean.
3. Sweep out the
ashes with a small brush and dustpan. Wipe the oven clean with a wet rag. Clean
the oven door. Scrub the inside of the oven door with a clean rag and a misting
of a kitchen cleaning product.
4. Lastly, you
have to clean the oven racks. Scrub the oven racks in the soapy water. Rinse
them off and dry them, then replace them in the oven.
If your oven is non-self-cleaning,
don’t worry, you can follow these steps:
1. Remove the oven
racks. Place them in a sink full of warm water mixed with a few drops of
dish-washing liquid to soak. Shake the oven cleaner spray bottle to moisten and
dissolve the baking soda.
2. Spray down the
oven. Spray the interior of a cold oven, focusing on the charred and stained
areas, until the carbon is completely saturated. Allow the solution or paste to
soak in for at least an hour.
3. Use a scraper
to remove the loosened carbon. The type of scraper you would use to chip ice
and snow off your windshield works well. Keep scraping until most of the carbon
is gone.
4. Spray the oven
interior with the baking soda solution again. Allow it to soak in for an
additional hour, and then use a scrubber to remove the remaining carbon. Wipe
down the oven once more with a solution of half vinegar, half water.
